The Polar Bear Dare is a new twist on an age old event. Traditionally, in a "polar bear swim", participants would voluntarily jump into frigid waters for the "thrill" and to raise funds for charity. | ...2012 Community Sport Development Grants Manual Includes the Following Grants:
Athlete Skill Development Clinics
Funding of up to $300 is available to a community sport partner working with a Provincial Sport Organization for hosting a skill development clinic targeted at youth. Remote communities are eligible for a grant of up to $500. Funding is cost-shared between the community and Sport Manitoba. Communities are eligible to receive one grant per sport annually.
