The Polar Bear Dare is a new twist on an age old event. Traditionally, in a "polar bear swim", participants would voluntarily jump into frigid waters for the "thrill" and to raise funds for charity. The Polar Bear Dare follows tradition in allowing participants to voluntarily commit to jumping into the lake. | ...2012 Community Sport Development Grants Manual Includes the Following Grants:
Athlete Skill Development Clinics
Funding of up to $300 is available to a community sport partner working with a Provincial Sport Organization for hosting a skill development clinic targeted at youth. Remote communities are eligible for a grant of up to $500. Funding is cost-shared between the community and Sport Manitoba. Communities are eligible to receive one grant per sport annually.
