Spring 2017 Fitness Programs

All fitness classes at the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre are open to the public.  No membership required!  All programs run for 8 weeks for only $99 or sign up for two programs for $179.

Cardio Circuit with Carrie Peters

This total body circuit style class incorporates strength and conditioning exercises using your bodyweight, TRX, Bosu balls and more!  Break up your day and challenge yourself during this noon hour class while sweating and having fun.

Time: 12:00 - 12:50 pm
Dates: April 7 – June 2 *no class April 14

 

TRX Strong with Carrie Peters

TRX Suspension Training develops strength, mobility and stability and targets the deep core with every movement.  Learn to use the TRX safely to build a strong foundation while challenging yourself and having fun!

Day: Tuesday
Time: 6:30 am – 7:20 am
Dates: April 4 – May 23

 

Ashtanga Yoga with Lia Kruger

Explore the postures, breath work and movement of traditional yoga.  This style of yoga combines strength, flexibility and stamina for a well-rounded practice.

Time: 12:00-1:00 pm
Dates: April 3 – May 29 *no class May 22

Day: Thursday
Time: 12:00-1:00 pm
Dates: April 6 – May 25

 

Kettlebell FUNdamentals with Jordon Koroll

Learn the six fundamental movements of kettle bell training with certified Strong First instructor in a fun and encouraging atmosphere.  The kettlebell is an efficient and effective tool used for total body strength and conditioning. Suitable for all fitness levels.

Spin & Stretch with Jayce Van Alstyne and Carrie Peters

This 50 minute high energy class is designed to get your heart rate pumping, burn energy and build strength.  Cool-down with a deep stretch after every class and leave feeling refreshed.
