On November 5, 2016, five athletes, two builders and two teams will be inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame at the 37th Annual Induction Ceremony at the Victoria Inn in Winnipeg. The 2016 inductees are:
Susan Auch from Winnipeg, Manitoba, was elected as President of Speed Skating Canada (SSC) at the Annual General Meeting of the national organization held last weekend in Ottawa.
A Manitoba soccer legend was honoured this past weekend. On Sunday, the Winnipeg Soccer Complex at 900 Waverly St. was officially renamed the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex.

Inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in 1993, NHL legend Andy Bathgate passed away on February 26, 2016 at the age of 83.
Brian Cadle (inducted in 2005 with the Winnipeg Jets teams) passed away on November 6, 2015. Our condolences go out to his family and to the hockey community.
On September 26, 2015 The Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame was invited to the premiere of Made in Winnipeg: The Terry Sawchuk Origin Story, a film by local producer Danny Schur. The premiere was held on the ice at the Sawchuk Arena and Terry’s sons were on hand to celebrate the film.
