Team Manitoba Mission Staff Announced for 2009 Canada Summer Games

Sport Manitoba today announced Mission Staff selection for Team Manitoba for the 2009 Canada Summer Games in Prince Edward Island.

“The quality of volunteers we have in sport in Manitoba is once again reflected in the number of qualified applicants,” said Team Manitoba Chef de Mission Ted Bigelow. “The role of mission staff is critical to the overall organization and success of Team Manitoba and I am pleased to announce that we have assembled a team of volunteers and practitioners with an impressive set of skills from a wide cross section of the sport community.”

Mission staff will spend the next year and a half working with individual teams and in other support roles to help Team Manitoba’s 428 athletes, coaches and managers prepare for the 2009 Canada Summer Games. A link between their teams and the larger Team Manitoba, Mission Staff will help ensure best possible conditions that will enable all participants to attain their performance objectives and a positive sport and personal Games experience.
