Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame & Museum 2008 Central Region Inductees

As part of their Rural Regional Induction Program, the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame & Museum will be honouring regional inductees from Central Region at the 2nd Annual Regional Induction Ceremonies. The ceremonies, which include a dinner, will be held Saturday, April 26 in Portage la Prairie at the Canad Inns and the local Curling Club.

In addition to honouring this year’s inductees through personal appearance presentations and video show, the dinner will feature fabulous auctions and the chance for the public to meet their sporting heroes.

Now in its twenty-eighth year of operation, the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame’s honoured membership stands at 207 athletes, 105 builders and 70 teams. If you’re looking for an easy and fun way to help honour and preserve Manitoba’s rich tradition of sport heritage, support the Hall of Fame’s gala event and attend its 2nd Annual Regional Induction Dinner.

Visit the Hall of Fame on the 5th Floor of The Bay in Downtown Winnipeg. Celebrate the rich tradition of sport heritage in Manitoba. Feature display area: A Salute to Our Honoured Members. The Honoured Members’ Gallery, MSSA Media Roll of Honour and the Manitoba Curling Hall of Fame are permanent exhibits. Interactive exhibits and videos all add to your visit. Admission is by donation, open Wednesday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., - closed holidays. School tours are welcome by appointment only.
