Team Manitoba Mission Staff Selected for 2007 Canada Winter Games
Chef de Mission Ted Bigelow today announced Team Manitoba’s Mission Staff for the 2007 Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse, Yukon.
"We have assembled an exceptional group of high-quality and committed individuals from an overwhelming response to our call for applications," said Bigelow. "I am impressed with the skills set and the tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm that everyone brings to the team."
Mission Staff will spend the next year working with their sports and in other support roles to help Team Manitoba’s 340 athletes, coaches, managers and artists prepare for the 2007 Canada Winter Games, which will be held between February 24th and March 10th, 2007. Acting as a link between their teams and the larger Team Manitoba, Mission Staff will help ensure best possible conditions that will enable all participants to attain their performance objectives and a positive sport and personal Games experience.

3,500 athletes, coaches and officials will be participating in the 2007 Canada Winter Games in 22 events over the two-week period between February 24th and March 10th, 2007. The Whitehorse Games will be the first Canada Games ever to be held north of the 60th parallel and will mark the 40th anniversary of the Canada Games which were first held in 1967.
