Winnipeg - KidSport is one of 15 local charities to benefit from funds raised by the Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation. KidSport is once again recipient of a $10,000 donation this year.
The Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation is proud to donate $92,500 to the 15 local childrens charities, bringing this seasons total donations to over $148,486. The Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation was established in October 1996 as the official charity of the hockey club. The Foundation is a non-profit organization which raises money year-round, and in turn, donates this money to childrens charities and organizations in the province of Manitoba. To date, the Yearling Foundation has disbursed over $1 million since its inception.
It is with great pleasure that the Yearling Foundation gives back to the community, stated Executive Director Kelly McArthur. It is important for the organization to be involved and we thank everyone who has supported the Foundation through our events over the past year.
The Yearling Foundation operates under the direction of its Executive Director Kelly McArthur in partnership with a Board of Directors headed by Chairperson George Sigurdson, Vice-Chairperson Debbie Kocen and board members Lia Arniel, Michelle Hoas, Lloyd Harris, Kevin Neiles and Blake Fitzpatrick.
