MOOSE YEARLING FOUNDATION SUPPORTS KIDSPORT

Winnipeg - KidSport is one of 15 local charities to benefit from funds raised by the Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation. KidSport is once again recipient of a $10,000 donation this year.

The Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation is proud to donate $92,500 to the 15 local children’s charities, bringing this season’s total donations to over $148,486. This year the Yearling Foundation raised money through events like the Tip-A-Moose Dinner, the Manitoba Moose Sports Carnival, Ranger Insurance Charity Golf Classic, Manitoba Moose/Special Olympics Dinner and from 50-50 draws at all Moose home games.

The Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation was established in October 1996 as the official charity of the hockey club. The Foundation is a non-profit organization which raises money year-round, and in turn, donates this money to children’s charities and organizations in the province of Manitoba. To date, the Yearling Foundation has disbursed over $1 million since its inception.

“It is with great pleasure that the Yearling Foundation gives back to the community,” stated Executive Director Kelly McArthur. “It is important for the organization to be involved and we thank everyone who has supported the Foundation through our events over the past year.”

The Yearling Foundation operates under the direction of its Executive Director Kelly McArthur in partnership with a Board of Directors headed by Chairperson George Sigurdson, Vice-Chairperson Debbie Kocen and board members Lia Arniel, Michelle Hoas, Lloyd Harris, Kevin Neiles and Blake Fitzpatrick.
