Tune Up for Manitoba's Golf Season With Our New Golf Medicine Program
Do you struggle with the same swing problems every year? Do you miss out on rounds of golf because you are injured? Injuries and performance are directly related and often originate from a common physical limitation, such as a tight hip, a stiff spine or a weak core. The Manitoba golf season is short! Our Golf Medicine Program gives you the best chance of enjoying it!
How it Works
Everybody’s golf swing develops based on what his or her body is physically capable of doing. If you are physically incapable of attaining a certain position in your golf swing, your body will compensate. These compensations are what lead to injury and poor performance on the course.
At the Sport Medicine Centre, we offer a Golf Medicine Program to identify these limitations and correct them. Our Titleist Performance Institute-certified Physical Therapist, Brian Buffie, a former member of the University of Manitoba Bison Men’s golf team, is committed to assessment and treatment of low to high handicap golfers.
What You Get
Your initial visit consists of a comprehensive, 90-minute golf-focused physical assessment. The cost is $130 and is billed as Physical Therapy. Please click here for insurance information. You will learn how the results of your 90-minute assessment affect your golf swing and personal risk for injury. Your first visit will also provide you with golf-specific exercises to help address deficiencies identified in your physical assessment. Your follow-up appointments (also billed as physio) are tailored to your unique needs, and are designed to compliment your progress every step of the way.
You Deserve to be Treated Like a Pro!
Twenty-two of the top thirty-five players in the world have a TPI certified expert on their team. You don’t need to be a top player in the world to have access to these services. If the best players in the world can benefit, think of what it can do for your own game and body. Our Golf Medicine Program treats you like one of the pros!
