Sport Manitoba hosted a pep rally for athletes and coaches attending the 2009 Canada Summer Games in PEI.
Guest speakers included the Province of Manitoba, team Sponsor Red River College and honourary Co-captains Michelle Swatzky and Jay Lyon.
Guest MC Ace Burpee invited each sport team on stage for either a 30 second dance off OR a team cheer. Phase 2 sports definitely won the prize for team spirit!
Chef de Mission Ted Bigelow also took to the mic to teach the Herd traditional Team Toba cheers.
Keeping it all in the Games, Team Toba managed to find a magician who's brother is a former member of the herd. He kept athletes entertained with magically appearing and disappearing birds, beer bottles and paint balls!
