Sport Manitoba annual Sport Awards

Sport Manitoba celebrates youth and volunteer excellence and achievement in amateur sport with a number of special awards that are presented annually.

Award nominations are submitted by Provincial Sport Organizations. Members of the sports media select the winners.

All nominees are recognized each spring at Sport Manitoba's annual Sport Awards Gala.

2010 Sport for Life Gala

As we have for the past 24 years, Sport Manitoba is bringing together all of the nominees for the Junior Athletes of the Year, Great-West Life Volunteer and Youth Volunteer of the Year, Calm Air Junior Team of the Year, Official of the Year, the Manitoba Lotteries Coach of the Year, their families, sport representatives and friends of sport to recognize and celebrate their contributions to amateur sport.

The evening will also pay tribute to Manitoba Olympians and their accomplishments in Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

The Sport for Life Gala takes place on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 7:00 pm at The Fairmont Winnipeg. There will be a post-awards reception following the presentation.
