I Have Completed the Course - FAQ

After you have completed the course you may need to

  • Add additional sports
  • Modify your profile
  • Download resources
  • Check your certification number
  • Print your certificate

Simply log-in to perform any of the above tasks. If you have misplaced your certificate, and can’t remember your number it is easy to retrieve. Simply log-in to the program, click on print certificate, which can be found on the first page after logging in, under Instructions. This opens a dialogue box that displays your certificate, which includes your number. You can record the number yourself, or print off the certificate for your own use. RiS

In addition, all PSOs have the ability through their RiS administrator to check the status of any individual that has registered for the RiS program and affiliated with their sport. Contact your PSO RiS administrator and they can verify your certification. Really Lost...contact our 24/7 Help Desk.

Do I have to take the course every year?
No. Access is provided to each coach on a four year cycle. You take the 3-hour course in year one when you’ll get certified. Once you have completed the certification, you’ll be able to access the program as an on-line resource. In year three, you’ll be requested to recertify with a summary version, approximately 45 minutes. Year four, it’s an on-line resource. You’ll take the full course (which will have been updated by then) again in year five and be recertified.

Coach Testimonial

As a former ‘AAA’ coach with Winnipeg South’s baseball program, I now look forward to coaching at the grassroots level (in St. Vital), after taking a year off.

I found the online module to be very user-friendly, and gained some terrific insights throughout. The section on Bullying and Harassment, and Cal Boterill’s testimonial was particularly valuable.

After completing the Respect in Sport module, I feel that I am in an even better position to offer a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for the athletes that I coach.

Sincerely,
Tom Thiessen
