During these challenging times, our Fit Kids Healthy Kids team is committed to helping keep you and your family active! With our in-person training and programming as well as our Motion Zones all currently on hold, here are some games and resources to consider during the next few days:
Painter’s Tape Obstacle Course
This is a game for all ages and you can play it inside your own home. All you need is some tape and a little imagination.
Set up an obstacle course as big or as small as you want. Have tape going down the hallway, down the stairs, or up on the couch. Get the kids crawling, skipping, and jumping their way through the course. Pretty soon they’ll be exploring all the rooms in your house.
Active For Life recently published an article on the benefits of physical literacy. Read it here.
We highly recommend downloading the ParticipACTION app. It has a lot of great ideas and resources to keep your family active.
Yoga for Kids – Mindfulness for Brain Stimulation. It’s a podcast with short, easy to listen to episodes that will help your kids with balance and control. You can listen to it on Spotify.
Finally, PartipACTION is offering daily workout videos on their Facebook page. Keep an eye on their page.

As always, a big THANK YOU to Doctors Manitoba for their ongoing support of the program.
