Curling Builder Passes at age 96

Joan Whalley, a pioneer for female curling in this country, has passed away at age 96. The Hall of Fame learned of her recent passing from a Kent Morgan article published June 24, 2015 in the Sou'Wester. The former president of the Deer Lodge Ladies Curling Club, the Manitoba Ladies Curling Association and the Canadian Ladies Curling Association worked dilligently to promote female curling in this country. Our sympathies to her family and the entire curling community.
