Inducted in 2009 as a Builder in Curling, Ray Turnbull passed away on October 6, 2017 at the age of 79. Known world-wide as a teacher and analyst of the game of curling, Ray was also an accomplished competitor playing lead for the Terry Braunstein team that won a silver medal at the World Curling Championships. But most people know him as the face that brought curling to their homes on TSN. His passion and knowledge of the game were what made him so popular during his long run on television. Our condolences to his family and the curling community from his beloved Granite and beyond.
