Sam Fabro Celebrates his 95th Birthday!

R.A. "Sam" Fabro celebrated his 95th birthday on December 8, 2015. Inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame as an All Round Builder in 1988, Sam was an accomplished athlete is his own right winning a Memorial Cup in 1941 with the Winnipeg Rangers and playing with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers during the 40's. Same served as President of the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame for many years and was one of the founders of the Manitoba Hockey Players Foundation, the Manitoba Marathon and the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame. He received the Order of Canada in 1974 and was inducted into the Winnipeg Citizen's Walk of Fame in 2013.
