Softball Umpire Gerry Howard Passes Away

Gerry HowardGerry Howard passed away after a brief battle with cancer on december 1st, 2015. Born in Neepawa in 1939, Howard was best known for his softball accomplishments both as an administrator and coach but mainly as an umpire. He was inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame in 1996 in the Builder category. A volunteer coach in several sports and also heavily involved in Figure Skating in Manitoba, Howard dedicatd a lifetime of service to the sport community. Our sincere condolences to wife Lois, a former secretary and Board member of the Hall of Fame, daughter Leanne, also a former Board member and son Cal and their families.
