Gallery Manager, Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame
Located at the Sport for Life Centre Building, the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame & Museum was founded in 1980. With a mandate to preserve, celebrate & showcase sport excellence and achievement in Manitoba we are currently looking for a dynamic individual to assume the full time position of Gallery Manager.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the galleries day to day operations with a specific emphasis on marketing the Hall within the community, driving revenue generation, increasing attendance and financial management.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A University or College degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Marketing and promotional experience including social media usage and website content management. Media relations an asset.
Ability to drive revenue through proven community relationship development.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation skills and a collaborative management style.
Knowledge of business functions including budgeting, budget projections, basic accounting principles, database management and customer service.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines. Proven ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
Passion for sport and understanding the importance of preserving sport history.
Valid driver’s license and ability to work some evenings and weekends.
Ability to speak French an asset.
