Part-time hours (7-21 hours per week) October to December with potential of full time (35 hours per week) starting in January

 

At Sport Manitoba, we fund and plan sports programs to promote the development of vibrant citizens, athletes, and communities in Manitoba.  Sport Manitoba operates a multi-disciplinary medical clinic that provides physician, physiotherapy, massage therapy, athletic therapy, radiology, and chiropractic services.

Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, the Administrative Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of the Sport Manitoba Clinic by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high quality of customer service to patients.  This includes communicating with patients, scheduling appointments, filing insurance claims, maintaining records, as well as accounting and billing.

 

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent with some advanced related education preferred (medical office assistant)
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare facility is an asset
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Effective organization and prioritization of office functions
  • Ability to work cooperatively and productively with others
  • Attention to details is a must — as is multitasking
  • Understanding of good customer service
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Use of medical software is an asset
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset

 

Salary: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
