Community Coordinator

We are looking for an individual to join our dedicated team and supportive culture. Specifically, the Community Coordinator assists Sport Manitoba’s Marketing Unit in the follow areas:

  • Attracting various user groups or individuals to use the facility services, the scheduling and promotion of activities in the flex and court space.
  • Coordinating facility access opportunities for all, including sport partners, socio-economically disadvantaged communities, and the public.
  • Coordinating programs that could include shared opportunities between Sport Manitoba’s business areas and provincial sport organizations (i.e. Summer Camps), and external bookings.
  • Assisting with internal events
  • Marketing related administrative support.


  • Completion of post-secondary education in either recreation or business administration, (or related field).
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Must be able to work extra time outside of normal office hours as required.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with common office software such as Microsoft Word as well as demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new software programs.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
