Finance and Operations Accountant/Bookkeeper

At Sport Manitoba, we fund and plan sports programs to promote the development of vibrant citizens and a thriving sport community in Manitoba.

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Operations, the Bookkeeper will be responsible for performing full cycle accounting services for Sport Manitoba programs and sport partner organizations.  The position will also assist with other accounting and administrative functions that may be required.

 

Qualifications
  • A certificate or diploma in accounting is required.
  • 2+ years of accounting/finance experience
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and regulations
  • High level of Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience working with accounting software programs, preferably Quickbooks online, Sage 50 and Sage 300.
  • Payroll experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problems solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
