Radiology Technologist

Located within the Sport Manitoba facility at 145 Pacific Avenue in downtown Winnipeg is the Sport Manitoba Clinic.  The Clinic is a place for all Manitobans, both athletes and non-athletes alike, to receive focused care from experienced professionals in a range of clinical disciplines, including physician, physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiro and massage therapy. We pride ourselves in serving our community with top-notch care from our incredible team.

 

In 2019 the Clinic added a new Xray facility as part of an expansion of our footprint. Reporting to the Sport Manitoba Clinic Director, the General Duty Radiology Technologist is responsible for explaining procedures, preparing and positioning patients for testing, and performing radiological procedures following radiologic safety procedures. This position is a .4 FTE working 2 days a week.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a member of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) in good standing
• Good knowledge of radiographic theory and practical
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Ability to analyze information
• Attention to detail
• Adherence to strict safety procedures
• Ability to retain patient information on a confidential basis
• Bilingual (English/French) is an asset;
