Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance, the Sport Finance Consultant provides sport partner organizations with guidance in the areas of budget preparation, financial analysis, and reporting. They work closely with the Sport Unit in implementation of funding processes and procedures related to the terms and conditions of funding. This role will also complete internal program financial analysis and coordinate specific programs for the Finance Unit.

 

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, finance, or accounting
  • At least three years of accounting, finance, or related experience
  • Related work/volunteer experience and knowledge in amateur sport delivery is an asset
  • Demonstrated financial, analytical, and budgetary skills
  • Ability to interpret financial and grant reporting data
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Sage or other accounting software programs
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work extra time outside of normal office hours as required
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
