Lou Billinkoff Aims to Break a World Record

Lou starting line95-year-old Lou Billinkoff celebrated his June 5th birthday in a unique way at the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre: sprinting the track in our fitness centre, surrounded by cameras following his quest to break the record for the 100-metre sprint in the 95+ age category later this month. The current record for his age category is 1:18.30 - Lou's best time is 28.29. In yesterday's test event, Lou ran a 14.48 in a 50-metre run, so it's safe to say he's well on track in his training!
