Rachel Awopetu earned her degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Benin in 2012. Since then, she has built her experience as a general practitioner and Emergency Room physician.

She is passionate about volunteering her time and has worked with various organizations to offer free medical services, including surgery, to underserved communities. She also has a strong interest in health advocacy and health education.

Rachel is originally from Nigeria and moved to Canada with her family in 2017. She is fluent in English and Esan, a language native to Nigeria.

In her spare time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, reading fiction, and dancing.
