New Athlete and Coach Development Staff for Eastern Manitoba and Winnipeg

Sport Manitoba is pleased to welcome Jeff Wood and Jordon Koroll to the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre’s Performance Team.
Wood has a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Exercise Physiologist and will be a Sport Performance Specialist at the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre in Winnipeg.
He has over 20 years of strength and conditioning experience working in a variety of sports with thousands of athletes ranging from young kids to elite, professional and amateur athletes. Wood’s specialty is hockey and it shows through his work with athletes like: Jonathan Toews, Travis Zajac, Travis Hamonic, Bailey Bram, Jennifer Jones, Team Canada's National Women's Hockey Team and the Manitoba more about Wood including photo
Wood is tasked with managing the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre’s new High Performance Hockey Program.
Koroll has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Exercise Physiologist, Strong First Kettlebell Instructor, Precision Nutrition Level 1 and NCCP Track and Field Trained and is our newest Coach/Athlete Development Coordinator supporting our East more about Koroll including photo.
Through his new position, Koroll will provide rural athletes/coaches with similar resources as Winnipeg’s athletes/coaches without the trip to Winnipeg. Koroll will be mirroring the Canada Games Sport for Life Performance Centre in Winnipeg from his office in the Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School, targeting rural athletes and coaches in eastern Manitoba.
Koroll will provide a collection of services and mechanisms targeting athletes in the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Learn to Train and Train to Train stages to develop the mental, physical, technical and tactical requirements to achieve their desired performance outcomes.
Koroll is the third of four new rural Manitoba positions. Sport Manitoba plans to add its final Coach/Athlete Development Coordinator in northern Manitoba next year.
