Sport Manitoba’s annual Night of Champions looks a little different this year. Instead of identifying our traditional athlete, team, coach, official and volunteer award nominees and recipients, we want to feature inspiring stories of triumph and perseverance stemming from the unexpected and extended changes in sport in 2020 due to COVID-19.
While everyone in the sport community is feeling the impact of COVID-19, we want to hear why your specific athlete or team, coach, official, or volunteer has a story that needs to be shared.
Was there a pandemic-related barrier or challenge they had to overcome? Were they still able to make improvements to their training or skills in new ways? Maybe they were coming off a big win and had to adapt to a different sport environment? Was there a coach, manager or volunteer who went above and beyond to allow your sport to Return to Play?
Sport Manitoba will feature a handful of these powerful stories via video production to share with the media and inspire our audiences online over the course of April 12-16, 2021.
