In 2014, Sport Manitoba became the first non-profit sport organization in Canada to receive Imagine Canada accreditation.

“To receive accreditation from Imagine Canada demonstrates that our organization is functioning at a high level of accountability and transparency,” said Jeff Hnatiuk, President & CEO, Sport Manitoba. “This is paramount for a non-profit organization reliant on public and private funding."

Business Plan

As part of its funding agreement, Sport Manitoba is required to submit an annual business plan to the Province of Manitoba. Sport Manitoba's business plan highlights the new initiatives to be undertaken in the next year.

Manitoba Action Plan for Sport

The Manitoba Action Plan for Sport (MAPS) is Sport Manitoba's long-range strategic plan. MAPS identifies the highest priority areas in amateur sport in Manitoba and drives the development of new initiatives within Sport Manitoba's annual business plan.

MAPS initiatives are aimed at advancing the goals of Canadian Sport Policy.
