Team Manitoba Announces 2019 Canada Winter Games Team Roster

Today, Team Manitoba announced its official roster for the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alberta.

Team Manitoba is sending 208 of the province’s best young athletes, along with 46 coaches, 14 managers, eight tech support, and 20 mission staff to participate in all 19 sports over the duration of the Games. As the best in their age group, these young competitors have trained long and hard to be chosen to represent Manitoba at the 2019 Games. With the Canada Games poised as a key step in the development of Canada’s future stars, these athletes are our country's next generation of national, international, and Olympic champions.

Featuring 19 sports, over 150 events and a major arts and cultural festival, the 2019 Canada Winter Games will welcome up to 3,600 athletes, managers and coaches and more than 20,000 visitors. The Canada Games are this country’s largest multi-sport event for young athletes. They will leave a lasting legacy of new and enhanced sport facilities, as well as volunteer and leadership development that will benefit athletes and the broader community for years to come. Sporting events in the 2019 Games include archery, badminton, alpine ski, artistic swimming, biathlon, boxing, cross country ski, curling, figure skating, gymnastics, hockey, judo, ringette, snowboard, speed skating, squash, table tennis, and wheelchair basketball.
