Team Manitoba Pride

Team Manitoba is a collection of the province’s best young athletes from a variety of sports and is led by the Chef and Assistant Chefs de Mission.

Our team is represented by the bison. A symbol of our province, the bison is resourceful and dedicated to the pursuit of success, a social creature that travels in herds, is highly intelligent and playful, and is proud, fast, and strong. We share these characteristics within our Herd and strive to:

  • create an inspiring and supportive environment for all participants to perform at their best
  • treat all Games participants with respect and dignity
  • respect the Games' code of conduct

Code of Conduct

Members of Team Manitoba are expected to conduct themselves at all times in the spirit of fair play and in a responsible manner. This conduct is expected from the time the participant has been confirmed as a member of Team Manitoba's 2019 Western Canada Summer Games team until they return home from the Games. Members of Team Manitoba are our ambassadors and will participate in the Games with pride and will behave in a manner that is consistent with Team Manitoba’s core values as outlined in the Code. Team Manitoba supports equal opportunity, prohibits discriminatory practices, and is committed to providing an environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and fairness.

Social Media

Representing your province on the national stage is a big deal and with that comes with a big responsibility. It’s important to remember that the image, content, and persona we post about online is there forever. Be sure to use your best judgment before posting and keeping things positive whenever possible.
