Squash athletes in action in week two of the 2019 CWG

Team Manitoba's squash competition kicked off this morning at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre in Red Deer. First on court were the men’s singles where Team Manitoba’s Alex Kirbyson took on Team Alberta, and lost in a tough match 3-1.

Ladies Singles action followed early Sunday with Emily Hargraves of Winnipeg losing a spirited match against number one seed Olivia Orcutt of Ontario 0-3.

The matches continue this afternoon, with the men’s team, Alex Kirbyson, Bryce Kristjansson, Will Znidarec and Kostubh Agarwal, taking on Ontario at 2:20 p.m. in Pool A.

Tomorrow, the women’s team competition starts for Manitoba when Team Manitoba takes on BC in Pool B action. Sisters Emily Hargraves, Dorothy Hargraves, Ann Hargraves and teammate Mohyna DeRaj will represent the Herd at these Games.
