Mathieu graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Master of Physical Therapy in 2023 and a Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2021. His journey into physiotherapy began during his undergraduate years when he realized his love for using exercise and anatomy to help people recover from injuries.
Mathieu’s care philosophy centres on a blend of education, hands-on manual therapy, and customized exercise programs. He has completed postgraduate orthopedic training (AIM Level II upper) and is qualified to perform acupuncture treatments. He’s dedicated to staying on top of the latest research, ensuring you receive the best evidence-based care to speed up your recovery and get you back to doing what you love.
He has a rich background in strength and conditioning, having coached many provincial and national athletes at Sport Manitoba Performance. A true sports enthusiast, he played on the Université de Saint-Boniface men’s volleyball team for four seasons. Mathieu currently serves on the council for the Sport Physiotherapy Canada – MB division. He also gives back to the community by volunteering at local sports events, providing physiotherapy coverage. He is also part of the therapy team for the St-Vital Mustangs in the MMJFL.
When he’s not in the Clinic, Mathieu loves to stay active with volleyball, golf, ultimate frisbee, fishing, gardening, and camping.
As a proud Franco-Manitoban, Mathieu can provide services in both French and English.
