By Sam Cortes, Communications Coordinator

Sport Manitoba is happy to introduce Ariella Schimnowski, who’s taking on the role as the new Coach Education Coordinator.

Ariella recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Winnipeg. Aside from school, she’s coached gymnastics both competitively and recreationally for the past seven years.

When asked why she loves working in sport, it’s all about the connection.

“I love working in sport because everyone shares their passion so strongly. When you work in sport you belong to a community that is filled with many different perspectives and abilities. There is always room to grow and to learn from someone else. It is this community that creates a safer space in sport and always works towards making sport better for all.”

Ariella looks forward to motivating coaches to give back to their sport. She’ll be responsible for providing resources and professional development to help coaches grow and build upon their knowledge.

“As a coach, I know how important it is to have the right resources and I’m happy to be in a place where I can give back to coaches and help them along their pathways.”
