With physical activity slowly returning to our daily lives, we thought our Fit Kids Healthy Kids team would touch base with you to see how you are doing!
If you’re still spending a lot of time at home, be sure to check out some of our previous blog posts for some family-friendly activities, many of which can be done outside in the warm summer weather.
But we’ve also got some new ideas for you as well, including:
July in Manitoba? Active for Life has the perfect article for beating the heat! It’s called 15 ways to keep kids cool (while having fun!) this summer. Whether you have an infant or an 8-year-old, we’re pretty sure you’ll find something to work into your summer routine.
Nothing wrong with staying in the air conditioning on some days right? Check out these 5 YouTube channels that will keep your kids busy.
KidActive is a free app from Active for Life that has a plethora of activities and games all aimed at developing physical literacy. Make an account and get started!
And now you can officially keep track of your activity with this Activity & Skills Log! You can even work in a little competition between siblings or friends.
We hope these activities are a good fit for your family. If you want to learn more about our Fit Kids Healthy Kids program, visit our website.
The program is supported by our good friends at Doctors Manitoba.
Stay cool and stay safe!
