People sit in chairs watching the performers on stage at a fundraiser for KidSport Manitoba West

The First Annual Zach’s Ol’ HoeDown was hosted in Howden, Manitoba at the beginning of August, raising $3,080 for KidSport Manitoba – West

The event kicked off with comedian Matt Falk, who had the crowd roaring with laughter.

Next up to the stage was country cover band, Banned & Outlawed, followed by Autumn Stone, The Mighty 10:01, and Winnipeg’s Chris Michael.

In the evening, a large bonfire kept the bugs away and the attendees warm. Overall, the event was a blast for everyone. There was even a prize for the best dressed cowboy of the night!

Thank you to everyone involved for generously donating your time, and to all the attendees for your support. Because of you, KidSport Manitoba – West can get more kids involved in organized sport.

An extra special thanks goes out to KidSport Provincial Advisory Committee Member, Trena Zacharias, who planned and organized the event. It was a huge success!
